It's still too early to talk about summery outfits due to the low temperatures, so let's talk about fluffy jackets that give you the feeling of wearing your blanket all day long. I found this cute coat at a Zara store in Berlin - it was the last piece and it was luckily my size - so I decided to buy it. I'm not wearing this jacket on a daily bases because it's a bit too fancy for some looks, but I still try to combine it with a lot of different clothes to create some nice outfits. This time, I went for some blue boyfriend jeans, a pair of beige sneakers, a white blouse with frills and a silver bag - all found at Zara. The sunglasses are from A Vanity Affair and the name if the design is "The island Sunglasses Rose Gold". xx
My go to outfit for a an effortless and cool everyday look? A pair of skinny blue jeans, a white basic t-shirt, some black leather boots and a black leather jacket. The most important thing about such a minimalistic and simple look is the high quality of your clothes, especially of the shoes and the jacket. I'm not a fan of synthetic leather and that's why I only buy real leather jackets and boots. In my opinion, imitation leather tends to look cheap and worn out after a little while. Real leather jackets however will look even better the longer you wear them, so they are definitely worth the higher price. I used to wear a leather jacket by Allsaints (here) and I was very happy with the quality, but I wanted to have another one, even more "biker-style" kinda jacket. So when I heard that BODA SKINS was launching an event at the Soho House in Berlin, I decided to come and join them.
Hello peeps! Here's another post about my weekend in Barcelona in which I'm telling you more about my stay in this beautiful city. On the second day, we went to "La Barceloneta", a neighborhood near to the sea with tons of restaurants and bars close to the beach. It's one of my favorite districts of the city and especially during summer it's a great place to spend the day in the sun. But before we did a little shopping, we had breakfast at a cute little café called "OMA". I went for a french toast, eggs benedict and a cold-pressed green juice. It was sooo delicious! You should definitely try out this spot when you're in Barca (: Oh, and you should also visit Brunch & Cake, a super cute café offering the most beautiful dishes. Only looking at their pictures on Instagram is mouthwatering...
Hello there! Today I want to tell you more about a rising stationery label from Sweden. The brand is called Another Next and they just came out with their very first collection called "The pioneers". The collection includes a planner, a sketchbook and a notebook (check out the gallery below). The only difference which can be seen from the outside is the different color of the rubber band. Apart from that the books all look the same from the outside. The design in general is very simple and minimalistic and it's all about clear and defined lines, a delicate typeface and a lot of blank space for your personal ideas and thoughts. I am totally into this plain and typical Scandinavian design and I can't wait for university to finally start so that I can use my planner everyday. I already wrote all of the birthdays and upcoming events into it; even my next travel destinations. And that's another great thing about the planner: It's designed for the next 18 month. So you can definitely make a lot of plans and really get things done. I am a total freak when it comes to making plans and schedules and I truly feel like this company has completely understood what people like me are looking for. And if this appeals to you, don't forget to participate in my giveaway, which is international, so literally everyone can join it. If you are interested, take a look at my Instagram to find some more information about it. xx
¡Estoy enamorada! Well, at least I'm in love with my new sweater by Oh Yeah! Berlin. The material is super soft and feels very gentle on the skin. I love the minimalistic design and the cute little heart on the left chest. My style in general is very simple and basic, so I like it when clothes have prints or other little eye catchers on them to add a little special feature to it. You can guess that his army jacket by Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply (here) was rather of my taste. I bought it last summer when I was in New York City and I've been wearing it ever since. I mean... how cool are the patches on the sleeves? Oh, and if you're into patches and cute prints just as much as I am, you can use my code YEAHLEAPERLINGER to get a 20% discount on your whole purchase. You should definitely take a look at their website for more inspiration! For the rest of my outfit I decided to go for a simple pair of blue jeans by Zara (here) and a pair of silver sneakers by Stradivarius (here). The bag is from Sassyclassy (here) and the sunnies are from Amazon (here). xx
When we decided to go to Barcelona, the main reasons were actually the warm temperatures and the sunny weather. At least, that's what we thought would expect us. But as soon as we arrived in Spain, we realized that it was even colder and windier than expected (iPhone weather app is just not reliable at all haha). Gladly, I took one of my favorite sweaters with me on this trip since most of the stores only sold summery clothes. I got this sweater in three colors - that's how much I love them! I got them from H&M and they are super soft and very comfortable to wear, especially when you're traveling. Unfortunately, they don't sell it anymore (or at least not during summer season), but I found a similar one on their website (here). Bag (similar here), sunglasses (similar here), shoes (similar here) and jeans (here) are all from Zara. My rings are from a little jewelry shop in Ensenada, Mexico and from Vero Moda Pieces (here). xx
Hi there guys! Here's the first blogpost from my weekend in Spain. I went there with my parents (my sister had to study) to celebrate my mum's and my own birthday. We couldn't really celebrate them on the actual dates, so we figured we would do that on the upcoming weekend. My mum has never been to Barcelona before, and since it's almost kind of a family tradition to do a city trip during spring, we decided to go to Barcelona this year. It was a rather spontaneous decision and unfortunately it was only for four days, but that's still enough time to explore the city. Our flight left on Friday morning and as soon as we arrived in Barcelona, we checked in to our hotel Villa Emilia and changed our outfits into something more summery. Maybe we should have skipped the latter... It was quite windy and cold tho, but at least the sun was shining! So here are some outfit details for those of you who have been asking me (:
This is officially my last blogpost from Sri Lanka. So now I really need to except that this journey has come to an end... ahhh it's so hard! Only looking at the pictures of colorful sunsets and the breathtaking landscape makes me wanna drive straight to the airport and buy a ticket for the next flight to Colombo. But I don't want to complain all the time, so instead of moaning, let me tell you more about my last day in Sri Lanka. I had the best time during my stay at the surf camp and I couldn't really imagine it to get any better... and then I met Doro and Bine. They asked me if I wanted to join them on their trip to a tea plantation and a fruit safari in the Singhalese jungle. Of course I said yes and after our early morning surf class and the yoga session, we headed to a little train station in the middle of nowhere. Well, at least I had and still have no idea what the place was called (I'm so bad at this...).
If you ever visit Sri Lanka, a ride on one if the old trains is a must. The trains don't even have doors or windows and are usually very crowded, but it's a super cool and incomparable experience. And besides that, a ticket for an almost 2 hour train ride coasts about 20 Cents .. I can't imagine a cheaper way of traveling :D We took a train from Kalutara South to Colombo in the morning, right after we had breakfast because we wanted to meat up with a friend there for lunch and a little shopping tour. When we arrived at the train station, there was already a crowd of Chinese tourists waiting for the train ride to begin. They did the the most touristic poses you can think of and we had so much fun watching them climbing on the train to get cool shots. Inside the train, the climate was even more humid and hotter and I was literally melting on our way to Colombo. During our ride, more and more local passengers and flying traders hopped on the train and even musicians started to play. In some wagons you could even see animals like goats or chicken being transported by some farmers... you can't really compare this journey to any other train ride :D
